James Herriot Country Trail Run

10 members of Scarborough Athletic Club competed in the annual James Herriott Trail Race which was held over a moorland tracks and paths around Bolton Castle in Wensleydale on Sunday de 31st. of July.

The race which includes some tough climbs over the 14 kilometre course had a 40% increase in participation this year.

The first home for Scarborough was Louise Brown who was 12th overall of the 267 finishers. Louise was the first woman home, and some 2 minutes clear of the runner up in a new course record time of 58 minutes 27 seconds.

Louise was followed home by her husband Oscar Guallar, who finished well up the field in 26th overall in 63.20

Neil Scruton finished over 3 minutes ahead of all the Over 60 runners with a splendid 47 overall placing in 66.82
