GRANOLLERS DE RÉCORD

Haile Gebreselassie gana con autoridad en la 20ª edición de la Media Maratón de Granollers, con una marca de 1h.00'07'', récord de la carrera y a 43'' del segundo clasificado, el keniata Francis Kiprop. El tercero, un poco más distanciado ha sido Thomas Chemitei con 1h.03'10'', todos ellos pertenecientes al Club Adidas. En féminas se ha impuesto la favorita, también etíope Gete Wami con una marca de 1h'10''24'' siendo superada por tan sólo 11 hombres y haciendo también el récord femenino de la prueba. La gallega Maria Abel ha sido la segunda clasificada con una magnífica marca de 1h.12'44'' y la tercera con 1h.15'59'' ha sido la tambien etíope Liliana Benassi. Manel Cruz del C.A. Sant Celoni ha llegado justo detrás de la etíope Gete Wami con una gran marca de 1h.11'05''. Carles Clopes de SOM de SANT CELONI ha hecho una magnífica marca de 1h.19'13'' quedando el 17º. de la categoría. En cuanto a las féminas del C.A. Sant Celoni, Paqui Lombardo ha mejorado en 44'' su antigua marca de Montornés en el 2003, haciendo 1h.35'54".

Haile Gebreselassie easily won the 20th edition of the Granollers half maraton in a time of 1:00:07, course record and 40 seconds clear of the second placed Kenyan Francis Kiprop. In third place a bit further away was Thomas Chemitei with 1:03:10, all blonging to Club Adidas. In the women's race the favourite, the Ethiopean, Gete Wami won in 1:10:24 only beaten by 11 men and also breaking the course record. The Galician Maria Abel was second with a magnificent time of 1:12:44 and in third place came the Ethiopean Liliana Benassi with 1:15:59. Manel Cruz from CA Sant Celoni arrived just behins the Ethiopean Gete Wami with a worthy time of 1:11:05. Carles Clopes from SOM de SANT CELONI did a great time of 1:19:13, finishing 17th in his category. As for the Sant Celoni ladies, Paqui Lombardo improved her old PB from Montornes 2003 by 44'' and finished in 1:35:54.
